Meet the Doctor

Chiropractic has been part of Dr. Alex’s life for as long as he can remember. As a second-generation chiropractor, he grew up watching his father, Dr. Tim Annis, serve the Dawsonville, GA community for over 30 years. Alex witnessed firsthand the impact that chiropractic care can have on people’s lives. Not just in relieving pain, but in helping them live healthier, fuller lives. That experience inspired him to pursue the same path, combining a passion for movement and performance with the art and science of chiropractic.

Before attending chiropractic school, he earned his degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Health and Fitness from the University of North Georgia, where he developed a strong foundation in human performance, strength, and recovery. He then earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic, where he built on that foundation by studying how spinal health and nervous system function influence every aspect of well-being.

At Atlas Chiropractic & Performance, Dr. Alex combines these experiences to provide individualized, evidence-informed care tailored to help patients adapt, perform, and thrive. His approach goes beyond pain relief; it’s about restoring balance, improving resilience, and unlocking your body’s full potential. Whether it’s helping an athlete gain a competitive edge, guiding a professional toward more energy and focus, or supporting a parent through the demands of family life, the goal is always the same: to help people move, feel, and live their best.

Outside the office, Dr. Alex enjoys training, staying active outdoors, and connecting with his community. He also deeply believes in collaboration and working alongside other health and fitness professionals to ensure patients receive the most comprehensive care possible.

Atlas Chiropractic & Performance was founded with one mission: to be a place where individuals are supported, cared for, and empowered to perform at their best — in health, in sport, and in life.
